MA Project for AUB: Traditional Regional Costumes of the Palatinate in Germany.

Reconstruction/Remake of early-mid 19th century women's working day dress consisting of a chemise, skirt, long sleeved bodice and apron.

The skirt is cartidge pleated and, as typical for working day dress, mid-calf length. The sleeves of the bodice are smocked on shoulder and cuff, the bodice itself is lightly boned and closes with hooks and eyes in the front. Chemise and apron are simple square constructions.

Skirt, chemise, bodice: linen
Apron: linen/cotton mix
Bodice lining and backing: cotton
